Love Insurance Kompany" (LIK) is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language science fiction romantic comedy directed by Vignesh Shivan. Jointly produced by Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studio, the film features Pradeep Ranganathan, S. J. Suryah, and Krithi Shetty in lead roles. The narrative centers on a young man who time-travels to the year 2035 using a mobile device in pursuit of love.
The project was initially announced in 2019 with Sivakarthikeyan as the lead, but it faced delays due to budget concerns. In 2023, the film was revived with Pradeep Ranganathan taking on the protagonist's role. Principal photography began in January 2024, with shooting locations including Coimbatore, Udumalaipettai, Singapore, and Malaysia. The film's music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, marking his first collaboration with Pradeep and fourth with Vignesh.
Originally titled "Love Insurance Corporation" (LIC), the film underwent a title change to "Love Insurance Kompany" in July 2024 following legal challenges from the Life Insurance Corporation of India over trademark infringement.
The first single from the film, "Dheema," was released on October 16, 2024, and received positive feedback for its melody. The film is slated for a mid-2025 release, and fans are eagerly anticipating this blend of science fiction and romance
