DreamWorks Animation is set to release "The Bad Guys 2," the sequel to the 2022 animated heist comedy, on August 1, 2025. Directed by Pierre Perifel, with co-direction by JP Sans, the film continues the adventures of the reformed criminal gang as they navigate their new lives as "Good Guys."
The original voice cast returns, featuring Sam Rockwell as Mr. Wolf, Marc Maron as Mr. Snake, Craig Robinson as Mr. Shark, Anthony Ramos as Mr. Piranha, and Awkwafina as Ms. Tarantula. New additions to the cast include Danielle Brooks as Kitty Kat, the leader of an all-female criminal squad called the Bad Girls; Natasha Lyonne as Doom, a raven and member of the Bad Girls; and Maria Bakalova as Pigtail, a wild boar and member of the Bad Girls.
In this installment, the Bad Guys are struggling to find trust and acceptance in their new roles when they are pulled out of retirement and forced to do "one last job" by the Bad Girls, who are fans of their earlier exploits.
The film's score will be composed by Daniel Pemberton, returning from the previous film.
Following its theatrical release, "The Bad Guys 2" will be available for streaming on copyright for the first four months, then on Netflix for the next ten months, before returning to copyright.
Fans of the original can look forward to another thrilling and humorous adventure with their favorite characters, along with intriguing new additions to the ensemble.
